Who's planning on fishing Grand Sunday?
Hoping for a better turnout then Panuke.
Not sure if my Partner is available yet, but hoping to be there.

yepper...only 6 boats. But know one knew that there was an event.  I have it on good authority that there is movement inside the Nova Bass organization and some changes are being planned for the future.Hopefully turning a new leaf.

You are correct Mark, only 6 teams showed up. The tournament was listed on the Natural resources website so the knowledge was out there. The biggest problem is that there is no one interested in the club anymore. Over the past couple of years the attendance has deminished to a point where it isn't worth fishing that series. The lack of information and organization has contributed to the lack of participation and interest. It used to be a great series, but sadly them days are gone. It will take a major shake up to get people interested in Nova Bass again. Just my opinion.....

The Panuke tournamnet could have had 20+ extra boats had it been held a week later.  It was held the same weekend as the AVBC two-day on Black and Little River.  I am just an outsider but it certainly seems that there is/has been little or no interest in consulting or coordinating with other clubs.

Too many trails to properly do that Mike and it takes two way communication to make that work. Some of the guys at Nova are fishing friends of mine but nobody even knew they existed until the tournament season started.

What I am saying is that AVBC teams would have attended the NOVA Event on Panuke if we weren't fishing the two day.  We Would have went and I can think of several other boats right off the top of my head that aslo would have fished Panauke.

You are right Mark there are too many trails to schedule tournaments so that there is 100% no overlap that isn't what I am suggesting.  But in a the case of NOVA's Panauke tournament there wasn't a worse day that they could have picked.  All AVBC Tournament happen on Saturdays (except the 2 Day),  I believe that Nova's Tournament are on Sundays any other weekend would have guaranteed a better turn out.  That is what I meant about not consulting with other clubs about dates, which should have been easy since the Nova's permits seemed to be submitted after all the other clubs.

same situation with tomorrows Grand Lake tourny. Tomorrow is day 2 of the ECBD's tourny on Ponhook Lake this weekend.  There are at least 20 boats fishing this weekends two day tourny that won't be at Nova's tourny on Grand lake tomorrow.

Good turnout today, around 15 boats.

Has anyone even seen the results from this tournie?? Can't find them anywhere... surprise surprise. Another outstanding example of what not to do from a club.

I don't ever remember seeing results from a nova tournament ever posted.... so I wouldn't hold you breath.  It may be a case that no-one in the club executive is technologically savvy so the results never get posted online.  dontknow
