We will be launching and weighing in at the Ponhook Lodge Campground.  A big thank you to Ted Wamboldt for providing this great location.
I was there two weeks ago, and found temperatures approaching 80 degrees F. in some of the coves, so ice in the live wells may/will be a necessity to aid with fish survival.
Hope to see lots of people there!

While I've got your attention, due an oversight on my part, I neglected to start a thread prior to the Mush-a-Mush tourney thanking Weagle's Bakery and Rob Weagle for their valued sponsorship, and for the donuts he provided the morning of the tourney!  Thank you Robbie!
Judging by the tournament results, I'm thinkin' donuts may be great bass chum, lol!

Unfortunately, someone other than an exec member incorrectly informed him that we did not want breakfast this year, as a result, it has been cancelled for this event. Was noteenough time yesterday for him to get workers etc once corrected.

Another note on the tournament:
Paul and I helped the Fisheries personnel with their weighing and measuring.  I got to handle all the fish during the process; the fish did very well and were in generally good shape.  The only thing of note regarding handling was two fish that had the line cut off at the hook due to being deeply hooked, which in and of itself is not unusual.
What was unusual was that the soft plastic baits were left on the hooks, thus severely blocking the throat. One was a Super Fluke, the other was a creature bait. I easily pulled the baits off the hooks to clear the throat, and was able to pop one of the hooks out using the thru-the-gill method.
If you must leave the hook in, please remove the bait.

If I can see the hook, I never leave it in. I can easily remove any hook by going in through the gills  etc.

I haven't left a hook in a fish for a couple years now since using that method... and no mortalities that I know of.

I fish A LOT of wacky rigged Senkos, so I learned the thru-the-gills hook removal method out of necessity, lol.
