can't avoid those rock chips in NS.
My Triton trailer looked brand new when i brought it across the boarder, didn't take long for the gravel to have its part in that.

Get a Rock Solid stone defector and attach it to you hitch. I used it for years with out many chips. Didn't use it one year and the trailer took a beatin. Won't leave home without it now.
Cheers

Although I haven't uploaded any pics, I will when completely finished, here is the update. I stripped the existing surfaces down to metal and coated it with a liquid chemical known as " Conquest". This stuff is super runny, but covers extremly well. When it was applied it was the color of milk. As the chemical reactions take place, it turns green, to purple then to black. It chemically bonds itself to the metal and nutrealizes any type of corroison it may have and prevents any from starting. A very slight scuff up after that and I applied 4 coats of the same product used in truck bedliners. You may be thinking, how freakin ugly would that be, however, now that it is done, it isn't that bad...and I dare a rock to try to get through it. The boat is back on the trailer after new bunks and carpet installed and I just installed and wired the new lighting system this weekend. I was thinking Bling with some new LED's, however, a complete light set of " normal " submersibles is about 1/3 the cost and just as effective. A little bit of Aluminum polish to the sides, load the lockers back up and we are in fishy business. Speaking of aluminum polish, If I may recommend, to those who have tins boats, grab the aluminum polsh made by "Captain Phab". It will cut through the worst of oxidation in about half the time and give the best results I've ever seen. I've got a cabnet full of mixes, potions and polishes that makes you sweat, but the Captain Phab is the way to go. I get some close up pics of the finish soon.
Randy
