I think Sunken is a "put and take" fishery.  Take them home and fry them up, if you wish.

Put and take and those bows are put there for the ice fishery. That being said, will have to make sure because can the ones they stock reproduce if if put back?

I talked to a guy today that is " in the know" and he told me they didn't stock Sunken Lake this year because of limited access and some cottage owners complaining about people leaving garbage laying around.

From what I understand, Sunken Lake was not stocked this year b/c there is no public access. Access is mandatory for all fish stocked from the department.

Mark - Those rainbow are not triploid, therefore they can theoretically reproduce, however there is no evidence of rainbows reproducing in the southern mainland (and they'd been stocking rainbows for decades). It is most likely related to pH.  fish

BTW - Nice catch!

Ya looks like Sunken is done and a few other rainbow lakes... the cottage owners will have their way in he end...and SUnkenwon' have a fish in it.

Makes me afraid of alot of the bass lakes around.... Cottage owners on Loon turned the planned boat launch there into a canoe/kayak only spot.... and the rocks they used to make it impossible to launch a boat made it the most dangerous spot to get in a yak or canoe ever.  Someone is gonna get seriously hurt at that spot if its even used at all.  Should be land left for public access on all lakes... just because ya own a bit of land on a lake shouldn't mean ya own the whole lake.
