No Bill, has nothing to do with a cut-off for Ontario. They are saying that you only require a QC license to fish the Canadian side of the lake. You need a NY license if you plan on fishing in the US area of the lake. You need a native permit to fish within their boundaries. If you are not going to go inside the US area or the native area then you only need a Quebec license. Myself personally, until I see it in writing from the Ontario site that I do not need an Ontario license I will have one but then again, I always have one as they are well priced and I go to Ontario a lot never knowing on which trip I will wet a line. Smiley

If you are not going to go on US waters you do not need the US Coast Guard stuff either.

You may think it is far Bill but in relatively calm conidtions your new boat could make that trip in a little over 30 to 35 minutes. We go a lot further in NB on St John River events.

I guess that its probably a good idea to get them all anyway, rather than get there and wish we had....
soo thats what we shall do.
thanks for clarifying that for me. sign10

Hello Guys: Long time since I have been in NS. I came across this forum and recognized most of the names. I currently reside in Trenton, Ontario. Good job on the site Mark and congrats on your performance in last years B1 as well as the others that participated. It is good to see the 6 teams coming up. Below I have added what the regulations are from the Ontario Recreational Fishing Regulations Summary Page 12 concerning Boundary Waters of Ontario/Quebec. As far as New York is concerned only a very small portion down by Cornwall and as indicated you must have your passport and all the requirements for USCG ie: throw cushion. Some of the other Ontario fishing forums are reporting some difficulties near the reservation but mostly with those that did not get a permit from the reservation. I am about 3 to 4 hours from Lake St Francis and was planning on trying it this year. Maybe I will wait and come up the week before the tourney during the prefish and say hello. Good luck to all. If anyone has any other questions about Ontario fishing feel free to drop me a line.

Licences for Provincial Boundary Waters

• Raven Lake (48°03’N., 79°33’W.).

• Ottawa River (45°34’N., 74°23’W.).

St. Lawrence River between the dam at the Robert H. Saunders
Generating Station and the Ontario-Quebec boundary.

Hey Randy,

Hows it going Jeff: Still have the Lund. After an electronic and trolling motor upgrade it is working great.(Knock on wood) It's done me well in the 115 and under class. Good in the Bay of Quinte but a little small for Lake Ontario. Can't wait for the ice to go away and get it out again. There is always a season open here, now is the time for
Steelhead, Crappie and large Pike.
