Finally got my my new rig ! toothy10 It's a 2004 Nitro 929 CDX with a 225 Merc Pro Max . She works and runs awesome but I still need that seat time to get completely comfortable with all the operations , especially trimming her up on plane out of the hole ( just a bit different than the old 40 hrsp aluminum laughing7)A couple more outings this week should have me feeling pretty good for Ponhook , that is if I'm able to follow someone who knows the trouble free spots otherwise I'll just be cruisin.

Cliffys old rig!

Sad to see him sell his rig but i'm glad it went to someone who fishes the tournaments!

Yep , Cliff's old rig . As excited as I was,  I felt bad haulin it out of his driveway with both him and Mikey standing on the porch seeing her off . Sure am glad I checked out kijiji at the last minute before making a move on another boat. After all the searching I did at ALL of the different websites across Canada and the U.S I was able to score this great rig right here at home for a great deal . laughing9

Cliff told me that he was getting up there in age so he was going to take some time to stop and smell the roses laughing7. But I think the bigger reason was that Mikey got a job on a scallop dragger and wasn't going to be around for most of the tournies which left Cliff solo . That said , I'm pretty sure he isn't gettig another rig dontknow

Will sure miss the ol' guys humor around the tournaments.  He always seemed to be in a good mood cracking jokes.  Hopefully he'll fish again some day.  Definitely a nice rig.  thumbsup

I'm sure you will see Mike back at it down the road with a rig of his own.

But he is quite busy on the boats and he loves the $$$ love10

But like i said, figure he will be back with his own rig eventually icon_sunny
