Like any new lake you should go at it cautiously until you have an understanding of it. Just north of the launch there's an old dame that's submerged at high water and further north there's a shoal that can also be problematic. There is a channel through the trees and just take your time until you got yourself some plotted trails through it than start expanding on that. I haven't fished it for a few years however I liked taking someone new there and going at WOT through the stumps
